Just because I was about to give some serious props to a few products and I didn’t want you to think I was secretly sponsering them or something…
Has anyone tried the Swiffer WetJet or the Swiffer vaccuum? Seriously, why didn’t anyone tell me about these???
I have a regular swiffer and I hate it. The only thing it’s good for in my opinion is scaring my bird which comes in handy when she won’t come down from the cabinets. So I kind of blew off the swiffer vacuum and the wetjet when they came out. And they’re pricey. I think the vacuum is 30 bucks and the wetjet is 16.
So I’m reading babycenter and a mom of three does a photo gallery of a day in her life (very interesting by the way. I’d LOVE to see that from any of you; it was cool to see her balancing act with three kids.) Anyway, after lunch she busted out the swiffer vacuum and it looked pretty nifty. So since I have a nearly-crawling-putting-everything-in-my-mouth baby, I thought I’d give it a shot. Seriously in love with it. So then I buy the wetjet. Equally in love with it. The only thing is the vacuum is rechargable and the wetjet runs on batteries, but I love that I don’t have to bend over or wring out a mop. And my floors look fabulous. The vacuum is only for hard floors by the way, but we have several and since I’m shedding after pregnancy, there’s way too much stuff ending up on all of our floors.
I’d post a picture, but I don’t have one handy that you haven’t already seen. Maybe tomorrow…

Curves is offering to send out 3 30-day gift certificates to friends and family from each of its members. As far as I know, it’s no-strings attached. I’m sure they’ll try to talk you into staying but if you just want to go for 30 days I think that’s fine. Anyway, if you’re interested, let me know. I just need to give them your name, address and phone number and they’ll send you the certificate. You can use it at any curves and I’m not sure when it expires although I imagine not immediately or anything…

Are up here…
There’s a ton, I mentioned I finally got the no-flash thing working better thanks to Erin, so we worked the camera out this week (a week and a half ago, I guess. I’m almost caught up!)

Dash got his first Auburn outfit yesterday, I’ll take a picture this weekend. He also, simultaneously, got his first Alabama outfit. What can I say, we’re a split family. We’re going to a baby shower this weekend and it’s Auburn vs. Georgia theme so we’re supposed to wear our colors. Dash certainly isn’t a Georgia fan, so he’s going as a Tiger fan. Sorry John.

Yay! Thanks Erin for getting us involved, it’s great to see him up there in all his glory. He’s also famous thanks to Roz, but I haven’t seen it in stores yet so I’ll let you know when that little cuteness is available.
As far as Sweet Poppi goes, check out their stuff. It’s super-affordable, cute and great quality. I’ve seen it in person and it’s awesome.

So a few weekends ago, I was lucky enough to get some snapshots of Dash through the eyes of Miss Erin for a project she was working on. The pictures turned out beautifully; as usual, she manages to capture the personality of whatever she’s looking at through her lens.
So, without further ado, the Erinification of Dash.

Please check out Erin’s photography site, as well.

Dash’s first Halloween was a lot of fun for us, and Dash tolerated it pretty well, I think. We didn’t take him trick or treating; after all WE’D end up eating all the candy. Instead, our Publix has a Halloween party so we went to that, and then Colonial Mall has a Monster Mash so we met up with John and went to that too. By then Dash was out of his costume, but we had fun looking around. Here’s some pics from yesterday…
(And I swear I’m going to update the picture webpage soon; I think I’m 5 weeks behind or something.
)
First, John dressing Dash up earlier in the day… We figured out the ISO setting on our camera (thanks, Erin, that was it!) so now John’s snapping some good shots, too…

Next, Dash and his very own pumpkin…

Dash and his bib… I bought this last year when I was just barely pregnant. 8 weeks maybe. Note the sitting up skills…

and finally, the costume…

Hope you all had a fabulous Halloween as well.
