He makes this face all the time and if you make it back to him he laughs. Such a cutie.

1. On an actual Tuesday! Shocking!

2. I got to meet Miss Surrelle yesterday and her pictures don’t do her justice. Such a cutie pie. And Roz seriously looks like she was never pregnant.

3. My teeny tiny little guy is somehow 11 months old today. Now that means instead of counting down to his first birthday in months it’s days. Eek.

4. Dash has learned to point for things he wants which is cute and irritating all at the same time. It’s great that he can tell you what he wants but drives you nuts if at dinner and he wants diet coke. Point! Cry! Point! Cry! Argh!!!

5. His party plans are going good in theory. I have tons of ideas, know what I’m going to do, just haven’t done any of it.

6. My company was started by four brothers and one of them is a regular programmer. I’ve been having to email him lately and I feel like such an idiot. I mean, he and his brothers own a multi-million dollar company and I’m asking him about a freaking function he wrote??

7. I missed winning the monthly pot for our version of the biggest loser by half a percent of weight. That’s like one pound!

8. Speaking of biggest loser, the finale is tonite and I’m excited. Too much crying for me in general but I love seeing who’s lost the most weight. Did you know one of the guys is from Alabama?

9. I’ve been craving chocolate lately like a madwoman.

10. In all my insanity, I’ve decided to try knitting a sock. It seems like every knitter in the world loves knitting socks because they’re portable and pretty quick but the thought of knitting those teeny tiny stitches makes me squirm. So I’m giving it a shot today and if it all goes to hell I’m only out 5 bucks for the sock yarn.

2. It has been beautiful all week here and it’s supposed to rain today, just in time for the weekend. Spring Fever is killing me!

3. My mom’s pansies are gorgeous - this ladybug thinks so, too…

4. See that piece of mulch right there? That ended up in Dash’s mouth and I didn’t realize it until about 10 minutes later when he wasn’t chattering like he usually is…

Miss Reagan came to visit us yesterday… I don’t think Dash quite knew what to make of her…

But isn’t she sweet??

Really, he was very interested in her. Just not sure if he wanted to sit by her.

So the Dixon household has welcomed it’s latest guest, Mouse Dixon.

I know, ick. All winter we heard this scritch, scritch, scritch sound above our bedroom in the attic. And we kept saying, oh, we need to get a mousetrap and we never did. So the other day, John was in the kitchen and suddenly got up and went over to the sink (I was in the living room) and when I asked what was wrong he didn’t reply. Eventually, he told me that he had looked up and saw a MOUSE TAIL dangling down through the vent. Now, it’s not a scary mouse, it’s a cute little field mouse. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen his brethren outside our house in some bird food. But still. Ick.

So do you think this will work?

I mean, if you were a mouse wouldn’t you climb into a freaking green house like a good little mousey?

I just can’t do the snappy traps, they make me cringe. Or the sticky pads. Just not my can’t-hurt-a-fly style.

I’ll let you know how it works out, I have a feeling not good…

Can you believe it’s this close? Ack. I’m freaking out a bit.

So I’m going to send invites out as soon as I make them to those of you relatively local to me and I think we’re going to set up a webcast of him eating his cake so if you can’t come along I’d sure love for you to join us virtually for that…

I think we’re going to have it May 17th, sometime in the afternoon, think 2-4 or 3-5. We’re planning a luau/tiki party/pool party - ish theme. We’ll have a kiddie pool and adult beverages and John will grill out, probably a few tiki torches and hawaiian shirts thrown in there. If you have anything horrendously tacky in the hawaiian shirt department, please by all means wear it.

I hope, hope, hope some of you can make it, this is my first real party I’ve thrown and I”m terrified like 2 people are going to show up.
